(Chino, Calif., August 1, 2016) – Effective August 15, 2016, Chino Valley Medical Center (CVMC) has updated the visitation guidelines. Changes range from visitation hours to new rules on children in hospital rooms.
The changes have been made in response to the requests of patients, and their family members, to be able to stay with their family for longer periods of time. “Chino Valley Medical Center strives to provide compassionate and quality care to patients and their visitors, and our new Visitor Guidelines reflect this,” shares Dr. James M. Lally, President and Chief Medical Officer of CVMC, “Our patient’s healing and care is a top priority and we want them to be satisfied with their care while they’re with us. We do everything we can to make sure their support system is empowered, too.”
In addition to the visiting hours being extended an extra two-hours each night, from 8p.m. to 10p.m., children will now be allowed to visit in patient rooms – with the exception of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Isolation Rooms. This should allow families to stay with their loved ones for a bit longer, and to help with families that have small children that were not allowed entry in the past. Please note that while children are allowed, there is only one child per adult and still a maximum of 2 visitors at a time, per patient. During the hours of 7a.m to 8a.m. and 7p.m. to 8p.m. visitors will have to wait in the lobby and return after the hour. This is a critical time where staff is transferring care, and CVMC appreciates visitor cooperation and understanding.
Details of the newly updated Visitor Guidelines can be found on our website by visiting http://www.cvmc.com/documents/VISITOR-GUIDELINES-2.pdf. New copies of the guidelines will be available throughout the facility for all visitors. CVMC will make an extra effort to ensure that patients and their visitors are made aware of the changes. We appreciate your feedback, and do our best to make the changes requested by patients and their visitors when possible.
