Chino Valley Medical Center Participates in Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

On Wednesday, July 22 Chino Valley Medical Center sponsored the Chino Police Department's Final Leg, Flame of Hope Law Enforcement Torch Run to raise funds and awareness for the Special Olympics Summer World Games. The Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics is the largest grassroots fundraising and awareness vehicle for the Special Olympics worldwide.

The Special Olympics World Summer Games, staged in Los Angeles from July 25-August 2, 2015, brings together an international audience to celebrate individuals with intellectual disabilities by holding one of the most prevalent sports and humanitarian events. The 2015 World Games is the biggest event hosted by Los Angeles since the 1984 Olympic Games. In an effort to raise funds and awareness for this wonderful cause, the Chino Police Department participated in the Final Leg Torch Run for the Special Olympics World Games. This event was sponsored by Chino Valley Medical Center (CVMC). "Supporting the Final Leg Flame of Hope Torch Run for the Special Olympics Summer Games exemplifies Chino Valley Medical Center's commitment to caring for our community," Says Dr. James M. Lally, President and Chief Medical Officer. He further added, "CVMC cares for Chino! This was more than evident with the 75 hospital employees and physicians sporting their Final Leg t-shirts cheering on the 30 member international team made comprised of Law Enforcement and Special Olympic athletes. "
